This 90 minute workshop will discuss empathy, why it is so important to the prevention of child abuse and neglect. How is empathy learned and can it be taught? This session will also discuss the connection between empathic responses and parental attachment and attunement to a child's needs.

Special instructions: TARGETED PARTICIPANTS: All Family Services, Foster Care, and Adoption Specialists are strongly encouraged to participate. All other Child Welfare staff are welcome to participate.

REGISTRATION: The link for the webinar will be sent to all Training Coordinators to distribute throughout their region. Training Coordinators are responsible for having staff complete a sign-in sheet to verify participation.
